struggling within

I don't come from a wealthy family
Neither am I born in a silver spoon
But I work hard to get the things I want.

Others may look down on me
they may find me shallow-minded, useless, superficial
they can't reap benefits out of me
But I know where my strength lies

I may have started some things late
But I'm gonna make it to where you are someday
I have the determination to fight for the things I want
Do you?

I'm gonna make myself proud one day
because I know I can.
Nothing tears me down!

I may not be strong emotionally
I may depend on my man for all the emotional support
But I certainly know that I have the WILL that others do not have.
